This is a rare headpiece from Nagaland which is a state in Northeast India. It was used as a ceremonial warrior's hat. There are four tusks on the headpiece which come from a Boar and there are dyed red hair-like plant fibers sticking out on the top and also on the sides of the hat. It has some black animal hair on top (i hope not human but maybe Boar fur.) The base of the hat is dyed woven bamboo. It is in perfect condition.
