Antique Persian Faraghan rug of the garden shrub design with a single medallion.
4th quarter 19th century.
Size: 6ft 7in x 4ft 4in (200 x 132cm).
This is a very good example of a Faraghan rug with fine weave and a very well drawn shrub design in a lattice format with a small central medallion. The colours give a very soft overall effect with an abrashed blue field. The rug has a classic feel and would grace any home complementing fine antique furniture.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and short even pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
