Poetic Khamseh "bird" rug, 19th century, wool on wool, a lovely storytelling about birds in love on the sides of a tree of the life which ends in seeds (bottom of the upper medallion), what leads to a family through a tight canal (centre medallion)…… look at the male, female and a small bird in the central medallion…. in the main field different kind of other birds defending all around these 3 mystical process (3 medallion), just like the people in the tribal community... Anyhow it is…. very lovely rug with rare border of its type, full with defending "s" symbols all around. Good, all natural colours.
