Rare Baluch Main Carpet. Timuri, Sangtshuli, Northeast Persia. Mid 19th Century. The vertical rectangles containing ’Sangtshuli’ rows of diamonds frame three stepped octagons on deep blue field. All surrounded by floating ‘ak su’ type motifs. Condition is excellent for age. No repairs. 5 colors. 114 x 63.5in. Delicately hand washed. Note: Showing Two carpets of the same region.
