SOLD Unusual Anatolian yoruk prayer kilim.
One of my recent finds from June spent in Turkey. An interesting and expressive kilim with an outer border characteristic of Sivas, an inner border with s hooks similar to some Derbent kilims, a mihrab with Cumra style amulet and elibelinde motifs and a Cappadocian fairy chimney, the precise origin of this kilim found in Aksaray is unknown. It has charming, lively drawing with a spontaneous, primitive quality and is in good condition. From the 1st half of the 20th century. Size 158x100cm.
