Caucasian silk embroidery, 17/18th century, 87 x 88 cm., 34” x 34”. Acquired in 1975 and since then part of a private Dutch collection. There are some restored brown/black areas here and there, there is some crudely machine stitching done and a blue covered hole at the top left. But as a whole the piece is complete and is a great and early one in its kind. Fixed on linen background.
