This is a separated pair of late 19th c. Kurdish bags in the esteemed design of the famous McMullan example. Even later versions like this pair in the design are still quite uncommon. There is evenly lower pile on one bag than the other with the white recessed from strong original bleaching of the wool. There is a limited use of synthetic orange and a weaker red, all conveniently faded. One bag has been stuffed with a larger pillow and does not lie as flat when the bag loops are closed.
