Hamadan Camel Hair Long Rug , Western Persia , 3rd Quarter 19th Century , 9 x 4.6
This all cotton foundation Hamadan is a distinguished example of a select group of mid-19th century long rugs,many with in woven dates,originally made for the Persian domestic market.This was a pre-export creation.It was woven in one of the 100's of Kurdish villages surrounding Hamadan.The condition is very good and floor ready with some exceptionally well done small restorations in the field.There is some slight end reduction and new selvages.Colours are all natural.Please feel free to ask any questions.
