Antique Farahan Sarouk carpet from Marzaki province of Iran, 4'2"x6'6", ca 1875. This rug is in excellent condition with a good pile throughout. Shows the art of streaking color, a technique known as abash. The base color changes from one end of the field to the other causing a slight sculpted effect.
