An Armenian, Cilician Marash Antependium needlework - circa 1900. This lovely and rare panel is in excellent state of preservation, with fresh, unfaded colours. It measures 132 x 168 cm (52 x 66 inches). i can see between 5-6 different colours, hand embroidered on a dark blue, hand-woven cloth. A similar needlework can ben see in the Ohanian Collection (on Youtube, last exhibit).
