This circa 1890 Peking Chinese Rug measures 4’2” x 6’8” (128 x 207 cm). It has two foo lions at either end of the rug facing each other with two phoenix birds separating them. Each of the lions are standing above a rockery in blue and ivory with some trees and flowers. All this action is taking place on a medium blue ground encompassed by a lighter blue border containing vines and flowers in ivory and aubergine. This is a unique rug. As far as i know i have never seen anything like it. It is in essentially perfect condition for its age. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $65.00.
