Antique Baluch camel ground prayer rug with interesting Turkmen inspired design. Circa 1900. Size: 5ft 3in x 2ft 8in (160 x 82cm). The rug is beautifully drawn and has excellent colour, the camel wool ground is very soft. The rug retains the original decorated end finishes at both ends. Of particular note are the double amulet designs in each of the hand panels. The side finish bindings in small bands of different colours are also of note. The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear, and good pile. The rug has been hand washed and ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for light domestic use. Stock Number: r-1342.
