antique baluch rug with an interesting and unusual design in mostly thick high pile with a few knots of light colored silk in the border. Possibly a transitional piece with the drawing of an early main carpet but the format and size of a later piece. As found, a bit dirty but untouched with original selvages and ends. Tight weave and overall good thick pile with some slightly lower oxidized browns. Good old colors. Never had one quite like it. 19th c. 3'7" x 7'4"
