An extremely rare, well preserved, Mid19thCentury Lacquered Gold-gilt Water Vessel with Cup Cover. Used in Royal Households during the Konbaung Dynasty (c.1752-1887)/ Mandalay Period. Approx. Dimensions: Height:17in (44cm) Circumference:22in (56cm). Materials used: Woven Bamboo; Lacquer pigment; Gold-gilt with colored glass inlay. Condition: Very Good (considering age). No leaks. Gold-gilt has peeled off some surface areas due to use over the years and there is moderate damage at circumference and base of item (see photos 4 & 5).
