Back
a long kimono in splendid condition. It is rare to find such long boro kimonos. It makes for a very handsome piece of decoration. It has a simple and clean collar. This kimono was bought in Sapporo but seems to originate from Tohoku. Such kimonos were worn by simple peasants or craftsmen. The continuous mending and maintenance that has gone into the kimono makes it a gorgeous witness of this age of frugality. Both sides look strikingly beautiful. It is in such good condition that it can be worn or displayed without concerns. The fabric is soft and in good condition.
