Back
Probably the most ancient layer of Turkmen's art. Yomud Namad, 2 sided main felt carpet. Found some weeks ago in a Turkmen yurt right at the Turkmen and Iranian border, by the Caspian sea. Unusual white ground, and very well balanced, concentric ancient, mythical drawing. The additional pics were taken in the Iranian National Museum, and showing a stucco from the Sasanian period (224-651 a.d.). On the last pic: entrance stone at the tomb of 'Brú na Bóinne', a neolithic Solar Complex in Newgrange, County Meath, Ireland, 3200 bc. Condition report: a missing border at the bottom and signs of use around the sides, but good overall condition. Freshly washed, clean and ready to use. More pieces: http://rugrabbit.com/profile/5160
