This fine masterpiece has very fine silk embroidery in a combination of chain-stitched and basma/ flat stitch on a linen Karbos ground. The design is exceptional fine and free flowing. Lattice field is rendered with alternating floral repertoire and the borders repeat a combination of palmettes and floral discs. The variation of the motif gives the visual effect of the piece a vibrancy and an energy. The colours are magnificent.
