Yao Shaman’s Cloths
Chinese- enigmatic ensemble of four old Yao painted cloth items. According to Jess Pourret’s book, The Yao, these were either used for wrapping sacred Taoist texts or as talismans i.e. for luck or protection. They are about 40 to 50 years old very quirky Taoist iconography drawn on hand woven fabric. The largest one is l: 56.5cm/22.5in and w: 42cm/16.2in and the smallest one is l: 55cm/21in and w: 34cm/13.2in. Free shipping Hong Kong registered airmail.
