An exceptional pair of antique Tekke Turkoman / Turkmen gold silver and carnelian Adamlyks jewellery. Dating to the 19th century, this extraordinary example of Turkoman bridal jewellery were a bit like earrings except due to the size and weight they were worn by being attached to sides of the hat rather than the ear lope. The curved shape of the piece represent mother Goddess motif (symbolising protection) and this familiar motif often repeat in Central Asian textiles and rugs as a design form. This coveted example has exceptional workmanship reflecting the high skill of the master silversmith who Made it. Notice the fine representation of the 's' motif in gold; a reflection of high quality. Better than most published examples. a collectible example offered at a very reasonable price. Weight 85grams. size: 17cm x 5cm (6.5" x 2") each adamlyk.
