Sumba Ikat Woven fabric with red, black and tan natural dyes. Large
Indonesia, Constructed of 2 long vertical pieces of fabric sewn together in the center, you can see the hand sewn stitch marks in the middle of the red man figure. While the hand sewn stitched marks are loose in some areas there are no holes to note on the piece.
There is a gradient of sage green and gray woven into some of the black figures that is stunning.
Very interesting Ikat woven pattern with what looks to resemble a horned animal and alien like figures-Such an interesting and unique piece! Very good condition with a minor amount of snags.
Measurements are about 44 inches wide by 88 inches long excluding end tassels.
