a very rare mid 19th century Tekke Turkoman / Turkmen Bridal Silver and Gold Jewelry known as Girda or Gulyakhan. They were worn as large elaborate pendant or brooch type of jewelry that would be attached to the bride's dress. This unique example is made of high grade silver with the design in gold and carnelian insets. This is one of only a handful of museum grade examples that have tassels and superior than most published examples. Usually they don't have tassels.. If one were to see the majority of antique and later replicas, one would truly appreciate the intricate beauty and remarkable workmanship of this coveted antique example. Just look at the clarity of the motifs drawn in gold. It weighs approximately 94 grams. a very collectible piece offered at a decent price.
