Antique Baluch saddle bag face with 'star in octagon' design of scarce small size. Circa 1880. Size: 2ft 2in x 1ft 11in (66 x 59cm). The saddle bag is of well known 'star and octagon' design. The field is filled with stars and many tribal design elements. The bag face has superb soft glossy wool and a very floppy handle. The bag face retains the original end finishes with very fine detailed weft work decoration. The bag face has superb colour especially the light indigo blues. The saddle bag face is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and full pile. There is some slight corrosion to the browns. The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for display.
