Large and beautiful Qashqa'i ceremonial horse cover, last quarter 19c, impressive size of approx. 60 x 60 inches (152 x 152 cm). i bought this from Bolour on Ferdowsi Street in Tehran in 1974 before the revolution. Excellent condition with unique weave structure and all natural dyes that show marvelous luminosity and diversity. The reds are not loose. There is an old small reweave at the top at the seam. Exhibited in Washington dc in the early 80s. Velcro for display is attached. Original edges. Outstanding quality.
