An elegant Antique Uzbek Bokhara nim Suzani / Susani dating between mid and third quarter of 19th Century.. the fine silk basma stitched embroidery and chain stitched embroidery is worked on a cotton Karbos fabric. The classic floral design is beautifully balanced. The large rustic red medallion gul with intricate detail in the field has lovely meandering shrubs around it in a beautiful petrol colour. The borders follow similar floral design with each gul looking different from the other. a lovely piece with patina. Though it has some age wear, it has been professionally conserved and done well on a beige fabric as seen on the photo. It really is a good one and with a bargain price. Size 170cm x 112cm (67” x 44”)
