c1930. Maple & Co, Chinese art deco, wool rug (with label). Good original condition, fringe loss, needs a spruce. Some colour shift in photo.. From my extensive google image research, it appears to be the only one left in the world !
...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Condition: Wool rug, which is heavy. Particularly thick and plush with a tight weave. Original condition with no repairs. Colours still vivid with depth, however it will need a gentle, professional clean and freshen as there’s an overall dust dulling simply through age, build up and use. Three small drip stains one end, also a small coffee/tea stain or two. An odour of cigars (this rather than cigarettes). Status.. No heavy wear and no threadbare areas. No signs of moth damage. No patchy fading.
The fringe is heavily worn with most of the frill gone and for some, will need attention.
Maple & co label to the back.
