Very sweet, old, utilitarian weaving that glows like the sun of Anatolia. 19th century, but how far back i don't know. i think it is complete and in its, more or less, original size. Too small for a sofra, it has been suggested by some who have done field research that it was used to wrap yulfka bread for keeping. Nowadays they use newspaper and sprinkle it with water to freshen the bread up when they want to eat it..Southwestern Toros (?) Elmali(?) approx. 122 x 100 cms
