Early nineteenth century India Sumptuous red double silk woven shawl called Patola from India. Repetition of geometric patterns (hearts, flowers and stars) in cream, green and ocher drawing lozenges. Borders of stripes and geometric friezes. Embroidered metal wires on each end of the shawl. Frieze of triangles. Very good condition and color. Only a mend of 10 cm on one border. Otherwise excellent condition.
