Armenian Pardeh (wall hanging). Dated 1929, commemorating the year Armenia joined the ussr. Hammer and sickle in a hand (the weaver had never seen this heraldic emblem before, knotting it upside down). Excellent condition, all natural dyes, crisp drawing. Very interesting design of the field and border. Selvedge protected by cotton (original). The pile cut very short, always used as a wall hanging. 71,7 x 53,9 inch (182 x 137 cm), Collectors piece.
