An antique Persian metal scissors and silk velvet scissors bag, dating to the 19th century Iran. These are probably from Yazd region of Iran. Scissor bags in general are hard to find and to have the scissor with it is even more harder. These were probably part of the sewing kit and used for making the fabulous tapestries that the local women were known for. a rare and collectible ethnographic piece in good shape. Size of scissors 16cm (6.5”) long and size of the bag 18cm (7”) closed and 29cm (11.5”) when opened up.
