Antique Mina-Khani Baluch rug with character. a good 100-year-old piece with all natural dyes and deep corrosion of black wool rendering good relief and thus a sculptured effect to the field and border designs. There is an electric blue abrash within the field which also creates a beautiful ambiance. As it is often hard to capture the colors of Baluch pieces, i have taken photos in different lighting; in outdoor light, the reds take on more of a lively rust color and the electric blue’s show up more, indoors with less light, the reds and blues become darker. The piece measures 2.9 by 5.4 and is symmetrically knotted.
