Jaff Kurdish saddlebag, 21 x 22 ". Old Jaff weaving; unlike the numerous Jaff bags on the market, this one appears to be a generation older (pre-1900?). The field design is familiar, but the main border is spaciously drawn and archaic in appearance. The blues and blue-greens are great. The kilim back is outstanding, with deeply saturated dyes in a zigzag design in two panels separated by intricate minor borders. Condition is good, with low even pile with knot collars visible mostly in the ivory knots. Some abrasion wear; no holes, stains, or tears. An outstanding Jaff bag.
