Antique Chiese Peking rug, hand knotted wool, Northern China, late 19thC, beige with shades of blue and some red accents, the central design is the round form of the character Shou, it stands for longevity and porsperity, this is a rug with problems, it is worn low, almost flat in areas, the white foundation threads are exposed in places, but mostly in the beige areas so it does not stand out as much, there are some small stains, dog eared corners, the ends need to be bound, there is some red bleeding that gives the flowers a halo effect, it has been cleaned once, but could use further attention, a worthy candidate for restoration or a shabby chic decor, a lot of bang for the buck, the approximate size is 8 ft 9 in x 11 ft 5 in, #7937, paypal is accepted, shipping is extra
