a beautiful Antique imperial Chinese silk Rank badge from Qing / Ching / Tsing dynasty. Although Ching dulynasty went on for four hundred years, this is possibly from 19th century, when most such badges date. The colours suggest possible some Sort of superior military official’s badge. In Ching dynasties such badges were worn within the forbidden city by officials and were attached on their robes and garments. Such military badges are pretty hard to find. The beautiful silk and gilded embroidery is magnificent. We see tiger at the centre of the field with bats and floral repertoires around him.
