a 19thCentury, Konbaung period, Burmese Kamawaca (Religious text) Box complete with Support Stand. Lacquered and Gold-gilt with coloured mirror-glass inlay . "Thayoe" relief design. Made either with Burmese Teak wood and/or Burmese "Padauk" wood.
1) Kamawaca Box dimensions: 64cm(Length) x 21cm(Width) x 18cm(Height with domed lid).
2) Support Stand dimensions: 72cm(Length) x 28.5cm(width) x 25cm(Height)
Please note: The 2 sets of Kamawaca texts as well as the "Sasigyo"(woven cord) shown here in the photos are only to illustrate the purpose of the Kamawaca Box's use.
