Afshar nomad main rug. 8'5" x 5'1". Late 19th century. Very rare to find this size in Afshar rugs. The design is most often seen on Afshar and Khamseh bags. Sides and ends are complete with full sumack ends which is also quite rare. Pile is low all over and slight foundation showing in some areas but the overall condition and effect is very good. This rug is very solid and can be used on the floor if you wish. If you collect Afshar tribal weaving this is a good opportunity to add one of the rarest size formats to your collection.
