18th c Bronze Hindu 'Coin Cache': In bygone days, in rural India, a man would conceal his wealth in one of these little 'caches', burying it for safekeeping. It is a charming little thing, graced with the ubiquitous 'lotus' on top and a bit of rustic tooling around the edges. Lots of history here; it's been underground for ages. The patina is tremendous. 3" diameter x 2 3/4" in height. Acquired in Tamil Nadu, s India late last century. sold thank you
