Afshar inspired Khamseh pomegranite rug. 19th century to 1900. Size 3'8" x 2'8". Both endings and sides complete. One end with sumack finish. This is a small format rug not a bagface. It is rare but also not unique. This is a known type but they rarely come to market and it is extremely rare to see one in this pristine condition. These rugs are usually attributed to the Afshar but the weaving is clearly Khamseh. They may come from the lands between the two territories like the Neriz area.
