a rare American Hooked rug from the early part of the 20th century showing the southern part of the United States with various different type of animals. Size is 3'x13' Condition is really nice - no stains, no tears. It depicts all sorts of animals by state and the Gulf of Mexico as well as some flowers. Shows Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and alot of the the Gulf of Mexico. 3 pieces seems like they were stitched together and probably the weaver planned on making this bigger but stopped for some odd reason. Great piece of Americana!
