Pre-Columbian bag with strap. The curious design of this bag has both zoomorphic and anthropomorphic features and a color palette that is not common. The bag dates to a.d. 1000 - 1400. It is complete with original strap and rarely seen closure loops. The "b" side is damaged at the bottom and there is some discoloration along the bottom of the bag on both sides which probably resulted from degradation of the bags original contents over time. This is an unusual bag of indeterminate provenance with an atypical overall graphic design. Size: 7.5 x 9 inches.
