Malayer Carpet 9.5 x 10.4 2.89 x 3.16 Now wsith excised side borders, this west Persian rustic carpet displays a serrated ivory and green cartouche medallion on an attractively abrashed plain soft red ground. Birds and vases decorate the ivory corners while the central motif has an irregular lattice pattern around a circular inner medallion. There is an ivory "dragon vine" main border. The condition is generally good,, but there are some tiny repilngs, but not affecting the plain field. Circa: 1910 (34930)
