Oushak Carpet 11.10 x 14.6 3.38 x 4.45 This boldly drawn workshop carpet shows a soft coral field with two strongly hooked side-by-side stepped cartouches , each on a vertical pole, with vases sprouting leaves. The lime border displays the “apple” pattern common on Ghiordes rugs. The knotting is very coarse, but this carpet has fairly good pile everywhere and no visible (or any) repairs. Circa: 1920 (41759)
