#7549 7'x14' Antique Sarouk
This circa 1910 antique Sarouk Oriental Rug measures 6’11” x 14’3” (216 x 435 cm). This beautiful deep mahogany red Sarouk is 99.5% full pile and what a size! It has the unique design of a floral motif composed of 14 pairs of trees going up the center of the rug in blues, ivory, brown, green and tobacco all exceedingly beautifully drawn. This forest is surrounded by a main border in navy blue with a meandering floral motif which is very compactly drawn and finely executed. The rug is very finely woven with a kpsi of 182. The ends are complete and original. The ends have never even been overcast. The selvedge is still in place. This carpet is unbelievable in size, condition and motif. Fantastic! The buyer pays the shipping with insurance.
