#7544 Peking Chinese Rug
This Peking Chinese rug measures 9’0” x 11’10” (274 x 365 cm). It has a café au lait colored ground with several different foliage motifs such as trees, flower sprigs and single blossoms several of which contain bluebirds. The rug is encompassed with an interesting three border motif which is very unusual. The inner border is on a dark gray ground with cartouches containing birds and flowers and an ivory endless knot representation. The next border out has a gray ground containing bluebirds, phoenix birds and orbs in sets of three in all four corners containing birds and flowers. Lastly the outer border is a dark blue containing meandering vines and flowers. The rug is 99.9% full pile. It has complete ends and sides. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance.
