Baknough (woman's head covering), Al Rudayyif, Tunisia. Wool, cotton, natural dyes, 20th century, 43" (109.2 cm) high by 95" (241.3 cm) long, including fringe. This type of baknough comes from the small mining town of Al Rudayyif, near the border of Algeria. It has the typical henna tie-dye areas and a few cotton markings on one edge. In very good condition, save for a few small holes. Additional photos on request.
