Antique Shahsavan / Shahsevan bag faces of a rare diamond lattice and star field with a yellow gold border. Wool construction with cotton whites. Floppy handle except corner repairs. Generally in good condition. Both have been hand washed and are clean. Left bag face(in first photograph): Has three corner repairs, which are stiffer than original weave(See photograhs 4, 5 and 6.). Has minor other wear consistent with age. Has small hole that has been patched from behind. Ends secured(Looks like supplementary weft added at ends before blanket stitching.) Right bag face(in first photograph): Side borders missing with edges secured with small selvedge. Small stain.(See 8th photograph.), small reapir in minor borders(See 9th photograph.), small hole in one side border(See 10th photograph.). Has minor other wear consistent with age.
