Antique early Dokter-e-Qazi / Dokhtar-i-Gazi (Many spellings seem to exist.) prayer rug. Early example with small amount of white and yellow accents. Probably not a rug for the floor, but to hang. For collectors.
In poor to fair condition. Corroded brown. Most of the original braided selvage is intact with some loss. Missing major and minor border at top and bottom. a few small partial holes. Some sort of residue on a couple of areas on back, which i have not tried to remove. It may be some sort of old latex to hold the rug on the floor. Ends are secured. Recently cleaned and stored since cleaning.
See the photographs, which were taken outdoors on a partly sunny day without a flash. If you would like more photographs, please message me. i do not accept returns, so please ask questions, and if desired, request more photographs.
