#7615 Peking Chinese Rug
This circa 1910 Peking Chinese rug measures 9’0” x 11’6” (274 x 353 cm). It has a blue field with a floral motif. The center medallion is a lotus motif surrounded with grapes. There are four butterflies and scattered floral bunches with grape vines over the field. The minor border is light copper hued and has an extenson of the field design encroaching into it. The major border is a blue continuation if the field motif with some Buddhist symbols and Chinese characters thrown in for good luck. This rug is essentially mint condition. It has full pile. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance.
