Wari "four cornered" hats have always been and still remain among the most prized Pre-Columbian Andean textile objects. Their soft lustrous pile and brilliant colors are remarkable. These hats are well represented in museum collections like the mma and cma, mfab to name a few, but even in these collections they are rarely in such excellent condition as this example.
