Beautiful antique Ottoman Greek embroidery arched prayer panel known as a quibla. It is composed of various antique Ottoman Greek embroideries in order to create a prayer mat, which are probably from the 19th with some possibly earlier.
Qiblas / Qiblehs were primarily used by women to hang on the wall of a house or a tent during prayer. For a discussion on qiblas, see Roderick Taylor, “Ottoman Embroidery”, Interlink Books, New York, 1993, pp. 133-139.
Good condition for age with some staining, seam separation, some wear/holes to linen base areas(Some of them may be original as old damaged pieces were re-purposed for these qiblas.). The most fragile pieces have been backed with a linen fabric with a small amount of added embroidery thread to stabilize some pieces. There is a later small added infill wedge at the upper right side border that has been embroidered to mimic neighboring original pieces. It doesn't really show when looking at the whole. Originally, it may have had a linen or cotton fabric back lining. See photographs, which were taken outdoors without a flash on a cloudy day.
