#7618 Kermanshah antique rug
This circa 1880 Kermanshah measures 4’2” x 7’6” (127 x 228 cm). If you are looking for a busy rug with an all over design, you have found it! This to me is a unique motif. If forced to give it a name, i would have to say milleflores with its thousand blossoms on a medium cranberry to red ground and corners done in an ivory extension of the field motif. The major border is a floral motif on an ivory ground. In the border design i see a cat face done in blossoms. The major border is totally encompassed by eight reciprocal borders which are all variations of the floral meandering design. The rug has good pile. The ends and sides are complete. The rug is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance.
